Miss Lisa’s Book Review – County Fair

Hello my friends! Have you been studying all our jungle animals as a result of last week’s column? I hope you were able to make your zoo trip, or are planning one before the summer ends. I’m also sure that you have enjoyed all the little animals we see everyday in your own back yard: rabbits, birds, squirrels, deer… so many wonderful live creatures in our world!

HOWEVER, did you know there is a wonderful event coming up in your towns (they usually come the last week of this month, and first week of next month) that you can see animals GALORE… HUGE wonderful creatures such as horses, cows, hogs, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, ducks, and so much more without having to make a trip to your local farm, because the farm is coming to us! If you guessed the County Fair, you would be correct!

The fair is a wonderful local event you can attend and see SO many wonderful animals as well as crafts, prized baked goods, student displays… and to prepare you, there is a great book about animals themselves who were DESPARATE to go to the fair themselves! Click Clack Moo Book series by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin have you laughing like crazy as they try to do everything in their power, including get to the fair! Dooby Dooby Moo, a book in the series, tells the hilarious tale! So read, and then enjoy a stroll at the fair with your family!

Take care and happy reading!
